What you'll do: 

• Comprehend customer requirements of ADAS/AD
• Define vehicle system architecture, Integrating OEM network and aftermarket systems, instrumentation, data recording and reference systems
• Install, setup, and troubleshoot vehicle systems to include sensor, recording, and ground truth systems
• Support vehicle validation team by collecting and analyzing data as the “Subject Matter Expert” when necessary
• Design and program vehicle interface gateways to run next generation sensors on current vehicles before prototypes are available.
• Oversee, modify, and troubleshoot in vehicle sensor datalogging equipment
• Flash sensor software / understand CAN errors.
• Calibrate both Veoneer sensors and ground truth systems when installing or updating vehicles
• Data management of large data sets from vehicle sensor recording, including methods of transfer from vehicle to server, to include requesting infrastructure improvements, etc
• Support IT group with data management of large volumes of recorded sensor data (TB, PB). Manage server storage and allocation, plan server usage and size requirement, data transfer between Veoneer sites

What you'll bring:

• BS in Engineering required
  
• 1-3 years of C, C++
  
• Technical knowledge of ADAS sensors such as Radar, LiDAR, Camera systems, etc
  
• Global Positioning system familiarity (GPS, Galileo, GLONAS)
  
• Experience using automotive communication protocols such as CAN, RS485, and SPI
• Working knowledge of PC architecture
• Good understanding of network communication protocols, Serial communication protocols
• Working knowledge of Automotive communication protocols such as CAN, FlexRay, Broad Reach
• Experience with Ethernet protocols (TCP, UDP, IP)
• Strong debug and troubleshooting skills
• Good oral and written communication
• Experience in designing requirements for data servers
• Ability to Interpret existing C++ and MatLab code
• Experience with Hardware-Hardware synchronization (PTP, NTP)
• Experience with telecom systems
• Scripting language experience such as Python
• Working knowledge of operating system internals (Linux, Windows)
• Experience working with Visual Studio and Configuration Management software
• Experience with CAN networking and CAN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, Flexray
• Experience with vehicle data recording and reference tools, dSPACE, NI, Racelogic systems (VBOX), etc
• Hands-on approach: Helps out wherever the team needs help, does whatever is necessary to meet customer deliverables.
