What you'll do:
Our Project Team Lead (PTL) - Component Lead is a member of the component development team. S/he leads component development from road-mapping and prototype to high-volume production with the goal of providing zero defect components into our designs. This leader will be responsible for ensuring that our supply base is providing the components and support needed for our world class products meeting quality, time and, cost constraints.
- Responsible for tactical execution of the various component development projects day-to-day
- Provide key project interface between IC suppliers and Veoneer
- Generate component technical and functional safety requirements from system and customer requirements
- Support quoting activities and sourcing processes
- Execute IC development in accordance with Veoneer component development process
- Ensure supplier meets Veoneer requirements and any deviations are reviewed and approved
- Conduct supplier reviews
- Support/coordinate with Veoneer global HW and SW development platform teams
- Conduct/coordinate Veoneer validation testing at the IC level to ensure system compatibility and specification compliance
- Coordinate change requests during development
- Support Veoneer product development teams
- Support customer requests/communication
- Support purchasing and supplier quality activities
- Work closely with Operations on yield improvement and scrap reduction
- Support 8D/FA activities
- Review supplier change requests after SOP
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering with 10 years’ experience managing projects; or an MBA or Masters in an Engineering discipline and 5 years’ of experience managing projects
- 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience in high volume manufacturing. Preferably with a Tier-1 supplier to the automobile industry
- Knowledge and experience with IC development is required
- Knowledge of RF - Radio Frequency Engineering
- Working knowledge of lab equipment including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators, Semiconductor Parameter Analyzers, etc. required
- Experience in Quality Management Systems, Circuit Development Process, FMEA, FTA and Functional Safety required
- Working knowledge of Automotive Standards AEC-Q100, ISO26262 and ISO/SAE 21434
- Experience working with cross-functional teams required
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project, and all needed MS Office packages
- Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
