What you'll do:

 The position requires a person with excellent oral and written communication skills so customer concerns and requests can be distributed to the proper Veoneer personnel and vice versa. The position requires a good understanding of Passive Safety RCS Projects and the ability to troubleshoot them at a system level. The position is part of the passive safety Veoneer North American Technical Center and reports to the RCS Project Manager

• Participate and lead meetings with Asian teams in Japan and Korea during late evening or early morning as needed.
• ESER/EPV/first part sign-off for all RCS products
• Coordinate crash testing equipment and parts and crash test data distribution.
• Provide data from testing to design team for inclusion in design and/or validation.
• Manage prototype orders, quality documentation, and deliveries to customer.
• Responsible for KFD-IR, other ANPQP documentation
• Manage customer engineering portal (G2B, TCP2, V3P)
• Create and maintain end item BOM, end item drawing, and end item releases and PPAP.
• Attend customer meetings as required as a representative of Veoneer.
• Provide appropriate project documentation and status updates as needed and respond to customer requests and concerns.
• Provide customer build support and vehicle trouble shooting assistance as required.
• Support customer testing as required, such as vehicle electrical testing, vehicle EMC testing, and breadboard testing.
• Ensure adherence to Veoneer process standards for product development.
• Travel (~20%) to customer sites in Michigan, Georgia and Alabama.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Prefer candidates 3+ years’ work exp. in a similar role. Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, ability to read/interpret electrical and/or mechanical specifications, DVP&R, FMEA, electrical/mechanical system level design and troubleshooting, oral and written communication, highly organized.
